When you are looking to get new eyes for your reborn doll there are a lot of different styles to choose from. They are available in a variety of different colors and you should consider what size eyes you need to get to fit the dolls head. Glass eyes for reborns are a popular choice because they can add that extra glean that plastic ones lack.
If you need to know how to measure eyes for reborn baby dolls, then here is a quick guide. If you have the old eyes, you can simply measure from the center on one side to the other with a tape measure. Even easier - use a piece of string and pinch it in the center of both sides - then measure the length of the 2 pinches.
If you do not have the eyes, then you will need to measure from one corner, at the bottom of the eye elipse, to the other, as detailed in this picture. It is also worth pointing out, however, that you can sometimes pick up doll eye tools that will measure it for you more accurately than other means, and are quite cheap too. If in doubt, either pick one up, or buy extra eyes just in case.

You only need to do this step if you have a doll that has open eyes. If you have a closed eye doll, then you are safe to move on.
Changing the dolls eyes can have a very dramatic effect on the babies face so you should take as much time as possible to get this part correct. If you don’t line the eyes up correctly, you may end up with uneven eyes, a cross-eyed baby or worse.
