There are many different paints you can use to add color to your reborn. This guide will use the rather excellent Genesis Heat set paints, as detailed below.
You can however use stencil creams, oils or any other coloring medium that you want too. You can get ready mixed tones in the genesis collection if you are feeling adventurous.
- • Divided ceramic paint tray
- • Measuring spoons
- • Paper Towels
- • Cosmetic sponges – You can use sea sponge or other types, but cut them down into hand size (about 1 inch wide and several inches long) pieces first.
- • Kemper Tool (6” clean-up tool)
Artists brushes – dependant on own style, however I would recommend getting a few sizes of Maxine’s Mop, a fan brush and liner at the very least. The complete set of brushes I use are:
- • 1/2" Maxine's Mop
- • Shader #2
- • Fan #4
- • Filbert #2
- • Liner #2
- • Stencil Brush
- • Berry Maker Tool
Colors – you can never have too many colors, however, at the very least I would recommend getting the following:
- • Genesis Thinning Gel
- • Pyrole Red 03
- • Pyrole Red 07
- • Flesh 04
- • Flesh 08
- • Phthalo Blue 02
- • Burnt Umber Light
Now you can finally start the reborning process.
