X-acto knives for reborn dolls

The X-acto knife brand has been around for more than 50 years and has always been held highly in the minds of artists and sculptors that have insisted on high quality accessories to aid them. X-acto blades are made from only the finest steel. There is a wide variety of knives and blades available that will meet almost any cutting need. Most are suitable for creating reborn dolls, although you might want to invest in a couple of knives, so have a selection of sizes handy for finer jobs, to the larger work. The way the X-acto knives are created make them easy to grip and comfortable to sit in your hand. This makes them ideal for time consuming jobs where other knives may start to hurt. You also don’t find yourself having to juggle the knife around to make it comfortable which can lead to mistakes.

If you have never used an X-acto knife before, you might not want to rush straight into the reborning process. Consider practising cutting shapes on hard paper, or thick cardboard first as it is very easy to apply too much pressure and this may ruin the reborn doll, or reborn kit you have purchased. It doesn’t take long to get the feel for it though, so you shouldn’t be too concerned about this.

 

If you are on a tight budget, it is highly recommend you try and stretch this to buy an X-acto knife for reborning; most of the competition are not nearly as good and for once the quality is instantly obvious on them. They are generally quite cheap and if you keep an eye on X-acto knives on ebay there are many bargains to be picked up.
