Beautiful babies - the art of reborn doll making is the first book review you will find here - this is because it is the first book I used when i started reborning babies.
To this very day I still think this is one of the best books available for reborn dolls and techniques, and would highly recommend it.

From the very start of this book, the pages are decorated with lovely photographs, that continue through to the last page. This helps with some of the techniques described in the book, after all, they do say a picture paints a thousand words!.

The book addresses many important aspects of reborning and various techniques used in creating a reborn doll. This ranges from, but is not limited too assembling dolls, micro rooting (threading the hair), how to paint your doll, and advanced techniques to add lifelife details to a reborn. There is also a section dedicated to opening vinyl eyes on reborns, and the explanations behind it are superb.

Much like our reborning guide, this book sets out clearly what items and tools you will need to get started on your reborn doll. It also has details for suppliers of these items, although I have found it is much much cheaper to buy your reborn supplies online, especially from like minded people on ebay.

If lips are a problem area for you then you will also find some detailed examples on how to create different lip styles. There are many pictures to back this up, a sample of which is show here.

If you are starting out in the reborning world, or if you are considering taking up reborning then this book is an excellent reference and investment and it is highly recommended. This would also make an excellent christmas present so a friend or relative who is into reborning.
